Dear Mr. Harper, I would like to express my feelings toward puppy mills with you. In my opinion they are uncalled for, cruel, and a disgrace to canada as a country.
Canadians are known to be very nice and kind people. What is done to the animals kept in puppy mills is not nice or kind, and puts Canadians to shame. There are thousands of animals waiting in shelters for a loving family, that never get to leave the shelter before they pass away or are euthanized because the shelter they are staying in is over populated. By banning puppy mills those animals would have a better chance of findind a nice home and a loving family.
And, it is said that action is take, towards puppy mills , but only in the worst of the cases are dealt with. Without your knowledge, animals are being starved, and beaten daily, and have to live outside in Canada's harsh winters. Which is not right.
Until puppy mills are banned I will not support any pet stores or puppy mills. Canada needs to take a stand and prove that you are truely kind and nice people.
