Stop the Downsizing of Riverside Transit System

RTA has proposed massive service cuts to the local transit system, effective June 28th. Routes affected include the 3, 10, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 36, 208, and 210. The 10, 14, 16, 208 and 210 all directly serve the UCR campus. Send a message to the RTA and RCTC boards that you want to see effective public transportation, not service cuts and more traffic congestion. Sign below.
Although California is suffering from an economic crisis the dismantling of bus lines is not the only approach to recouping some financial stability. We the undersigned would like Riverside Transit to explore options other than the cancellation of bus routes such as altered routes, times, and frequency. Buses allow people to travel without significantly impacting their finances and helps keep our world cleaner and our streets less congested. By cutting service many families, workers, and students will find it difficult to travel in an effective manner.
