Investigate the Mysterious Mass Death of Beautiful Birds!

A local wildlife carer was astonished - and terrified - when she realized that she was witnessing a mass die-off of corellas. When the wildlife worker was called to Barmah, near the Victorian/New South Wales border, she found a devastating 105 long-billed corellas, all dead or dying.

Sign now to demand the New South Wales police immediately investigate the mysterious and terrifying die off of corellas!

The birds were found near the Yorta Yorta centre, and it wasn't initially clear to wildlife experts just how big of a problem this die-off really was. First, the carer found a handful of birds, but upon further investigation, the beloved forest quickly turned into a wildlife-lover's worst nightmare. As the carer walked around, she discovered the ground littered with dead birds who had literally fallen out of trees to their deaths. When some of the birds were taken in later, autopsies revealed that they were experiencing severe hemorrhaging in their intestines and gizzard.

These lively birds, commonly referred to as cockatoos, often congregate in flocks, sometimes with as many as thousands of birds traveling and nesting together. This means that if these birds were intentionally poisoned, many others may be in grave danger because they are typically found in large groups.

If this was in fact the result of human action, malicious or otherwise, nearby wildlife officials need to know as soon as possible to prevent it from happening again. Local authorities have a duty to serve and protect their nearby communities, and ecosystems and non-humans animals living within them are clearly important parts of communities around the world. We must tell the New South Wales Police Department to investigate the details of this mysterious die-off immediately! Sign the petition now if you agree!
