Styrofoam is one of the most environmentally wasteful and toxic materials and billions of styrofoam takeout boxes are sent home every year. The material can only be used once and after used, is sent to landfills where it sits for many, many years. The fact that they use styrofoam is awful enough but it makes the situation worse knowing that they supposably love pandas and think about the environment, as the panda is their symbol, if they really cared about the panda's habitat, they would stop using such wasteful and environmentally toxic materials. It isn't fair to these poor animals, being photographed as marketing for panda express, and then the company doesn't even help out the poor animals. Join me if you believe that Panda Express' usage of styrofoam should halt immediately!

The panda; an amazing animal as well as the symbol of your restaurant and company as a whole, is endangered through your actions. Even as a company who seems to have a conscious for animals which is great, it appears that Panda Express is still endangering the animals themselves with the usage of styrofoam boxes and products. It is important to cease the usage of styrofoam boxes for the material is only used once, and then the boxes sit in dirty landfills for hundreds of years. There are other opportunities and materials available that wouldn't create such harmful footprints and piles of garbage, and by choosing compostable boxes, you will be doing something good for the world. As well as the numerous alternatives, as mentioned before, compostable plant based boxes, and others, it would be beneficial for your company to make sure that you are supporting the existence of the panda and helping it's habitat remain healthy. One way of doing this would be, that on a particular dish, half of the money goes to support the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) to keep growing bamboo trees so that pandas too can enjoy their food.
