MAKE ALL DOG BREEDERS OBTAIN A LICENCE TO BREED

Indiscriminate breeding in family homes is adding to the amount of dogs being abandoned. Dogs and bitches are being mated, regardless of their character or relationship. Thier pups are sometimes left with visible birth defects, other are being left with mental health defects and it is these dogs who we should fear the most. Dogs turning on humans and each other is a common occurence today. The government have made the first step to help dogs, by bringing in the Micro-chipping law, but this will not stop the unlicensed breeders from continuing to use bitches as breeding machines and churning out pups like items on an assembly line. Action is needed now, the RSPCA and other animal charities are doing their best, but the courts are unable to act and sufficently to punish these people. Lets make a change. Sign the petition and share with your friends.

The indiscriminate breeding of dogs in this country is growing, people without any knowledge or experience of dog breeding are churning out pups without regard for their health and future welfare.

I want to stress my concern, to the British Government, that this practice should be licensed or made illegal. The amount of dogs attacking humans, especially children, is common place today. The unlicensed breeders are using dogs to breed without any regard for the temperament or breed defacts of the bitch and dog. The birth of a litter of puppies is just money in the bank for them, they do not concern themselves with the life their pup will have, or how any mental health defects the pup will impact on the family that purchases the pup.

Sick puppies are treated and pts everyday in vets practices all over Britain, mainly because they have not been fed correctly, left their Mum to early, or because of breeding Mother with son, Father with daughter, or litter mates being bred.

I appeal to the Government to act now.
