Stop Spanish national TV bullfight broadcastings

Dear Mr. Gonzalez-Echenique,

The state-owned public-service television under your management is about to start  broadcasting bullfights on children's prime time. This, in the eyes of a high number of Spanish people (with whose taxes TVE operates), is wrong. It is wrong in the eyes of the people who consider that torturing an animal is no way to have fun, is not culture and is not tradition  (burning witches was once considered an edifying spectacle, remember?). 

It is also wrong to perpetuate this so-called spectacle by showing it to children and approving of it. 

We urge you to do everything in your power so that Spain goes on standing amongst the civilised countries of the world.
