Stop animal cruelty in Greece

Greece has the highest rates of animal abuse,despite legislative efforts. The complaints (of the neighbors etc) are disproportionate to the punishments, that actually take place! In the first half of 2019, 1.799 complaints were made, but only 117 of the torturers, were punished! Researches show that people who torture animals, are the ones who easily abuse their children, family and even become murderers, at some point! Animal cruelty often leads even to animal fights, with bets up to 50.000 euros! Animal cruelty is automatically prosecuted and is considered to be a crime, but based on the high percentage of the complaints and the low percentage of the arrests, the Greek authorities, should investigate better and actually save the animals that are in danger!!
