Putting a stop to abuse against dogs

There are these dog festivals in certain parts in the world and many dogs are beaten to death in the most horrible way. Not a lot of dogs are rescued, and some are led to a painful slow death. I'm concerned with this because just like humans, dogs are living creatures,and if someone kills a human, they would be put in prison if found guilty. Dogs show traits of loyalty, kindness, and love. They are living creatures like us and do not deserve this.
