A lawsuit was filed in 2013 against Furry Babies Incorporated and the president, Roger Trolinger of Rockford, Ill., alleging that Furry Babies sold sick and mistreated puppies that were born and raised in filthy conditions to five families. That lawsuit is currently going to trial in the LaSalle County Court. There was also this "findings of fact " from 2010: the Illinois Department of Agriculture issuing a fine, saying a sick puppy was sold at the Bloomingdale location. Photos were taken of several Furry Babies' breeder certificates, the breeders license numbers were entered into the USDA website which shows the inspection reports from different breeders nationwide: dogs with ear mites, open sores, swollen gums, scabs, excessively long toe nails, reports of a mass on the paws of a dog, expired medications, accumulation of waste, dog feeders with an excessive buildup of bird feces on the top of them and growths on the eyes, near the eyes, infections in their mouths." Furry Babies Janesville store had four puppies that died horrible deaths less than ten days after coming home.
Continuous customer complaints and protests successfully shut down the Furry Babies Inc. store in the Peru Mall. Numerous protests have been held outside Furry Babies Inc in both Rockford & Janesvlle. We are respectfully asking that you take a stance to protect the consumers shopping in CherryVale Mall and the dogs suffering in large scale breeding facilities by either cancelling Furry Babies Inc, contract or deny to renew it upon expiration.
Respectfully,
