The interior of parked cars heat rapidly. For example, on days as cool as 70 degrees, a vehicle’s internal temperature reaches 100 degrees in roughly twenty minutes.
The consequences of canine heatstroke include breathing problems, irregular heartbeat, kidney failure, seizures and even death.
The goals of this petition are...To encourage people to leave their pets at home when they can.
To call the authorities if they see a pet left in a car who is in danger of overheating.
