STOP CRUEL PEASANTS BINDING HORSES' HOOVES

Under 40 scorching degrees Celsius, on  a very small ledge of earth, by the main asphalt road in Lesvos (a Greek island, but this happens all over the country) I met a beautiful white horse immobilised and obviously suffering, with no water nearby.

I approached and gave him water when, rubbing the side of his face on my arm, he looked deep in my eyes, as if asking me to do something! Peasants use this practice, so their animals won't run away, though they wouldn't anyway, they are always held behind fences.

I already filed suit at the police against the horse's owner but let's make this more public, in hope that Greek authorities move at last against these horrible acts that take place all the time, with all sorts of animals, despite being illegal by EEC laws. Please help these innocent creatures!
