Start a Municipal Food Scrap Composting Collection in the Fox Valley

Disposal of Food waste in landfills is a growing environmental problem. 95% percent of food waste ends up in landfills and is the single highest component of our waste. Landfills are the 3rd highest producer of man-made emissions of the greenhouse gas methane. By diverting our food scraps into a compost collection we can work to reduce the environmental impact of food waste. We need to start now.
