Save California's sharks by ending shark fishing there

Sharks aren't mindless killers that eat humans with no shame. Sharks only kill 10 mpeple a year,World Wide!!! The Bahamas banned commercial fishing on sharks And why can't California do it. California needs to become a shark sanctuary. For example, I was very disappointed when I saw no Horn sharks on the kelp on a snorkeling trip in a 6th grade Catalina Island field trip. That was a chilling reminder that sharks are almost gone. Even though this problem isn't as bad shark finning,it still brings down a shark population decline in not just CA. but other places too because some sharks migrate. California was my home state and will be my home for the rest of my life and in those years I want to see plenty of sharks in many species,sizes, and colours. If CA. is the Golden State why isn't it "Golden" with sharks??? More like wooden with sharks!!! Im also tired of looking at chinese resteraunt menus and seeing fin soup. Not buying it doesn't help we have avoid the resteraunt and soread the word about shark finning, CA. needs to go through with this shark fin soup ban and shark fishing ban. I also believe there needs to be a shark research staion on each of the channel Islands off California. CA. needs to be shark safe and California may get more money from shark tourism!!! Join S.C.C. that means shark conservation of California.
