Cat left fighting for its life after being thrown from a 100ft tower block onto the pavement below. The male tabby cat is in critical condition with multiple injuries consisting of shattered rear legs, broken femur and a collapsed lung. This incident happened in Croydon (South London)

Animal cruelty is a continous problem worldwide.
We live in a society whereby animals are becoming more like objects than living creatures.
Recently, thugs have thrown a cat 100ft from a tower block in South London.
What strikes me the most is that greater deprived areas of the United Kingdom commit more sickening abuse against innocent animals than less deprived areas. Although cruelty against animals is not a class phenomena, it simply cannot be ignored that it is becoming the norm.
Not only do I request these thugs to be found and prosecuted but for parliment to revise animal cruelty laws. Fines and six months in prison are not preventing the rising amount of animal cruelty prevelent within the United Kingdom. A tougher sentence needs to be imposed on individuals who abuse or neglect animals. It is a fact that those who abuse animals are more likely to commit murder.
Please consider reviewing the current animal cruelty legislation and help bring those who commit these atrocities to justice.
