Request Tourism Operators on the Great Barrier Reef Ban Single Use Plastic Bottles

More than 8 million tons of plastic is dumped in our oceans every year. Single use plastic water bottles account for a significant proportion of this environmental pollution. Tourism Operators are in a perfect position to reduce this pollution encouraging their guests to bring reusable water bottles with them for their trip or supplying them for sale if needed. The Great Barrier Reef is under enough stress and this simple measure will help not just the reef but our oceans in general.
