Save 100 Acre Park in Rush NY

Respectfully we petition elected and appointed officials at the local, state, and national level to actively work on our behalf to:  

• Carry out and fulfill the legally required "park and recreation" deed restrictions on 100.5 acres of public land that is located on the Genesee River, known as the former Industry property
• Oppose all attempts to change or disregard the legal deed restrictions
• Support sustainable "park and recreation" uses that honor the land's history, preserve the mature forests, and protect the riverfront, floodplain, streams, wetlands, hedgerows, and other natural land features
• Preserve the long-established natural habitats for native plants, wildlife, birds, and pollinators
• Provide safe public access and enjoyment to residents and visitors of all ages and abilities
• Protect the public trust, and represent our interests as citizens and taxpayers, to achieve the preservation of this treasured land for us, our families and future generations
