Our Family! Not Pets!

We live in townhomes that were owned by a Private Company but now have been bought by Howard County Housing. The County is now saying since they took over we have to get rid of our family pets. This upsets us deeply as home owners who have been living here for years with our pets, that now we are supposed to get rid of them as if they are simply trash to throw away. We believe that it is unfair and inhumane to tell dog owners they have to get rid of their pets when it was allowed with the previous owners in the lease.Reality is no one wants to get rid of a family member that has nowhere to go and more than likely will be put to sleep if taken to a pound. We as a community want Howard County Housing to change the leasing contract back to what was agree upon the previous owners in regards to owning a pet in the homes.
