Stop the Online Sale of Whale Meat and Elephant Ivory

"A Japanese retailer named Rakuten has been revealed as the largest online retailer of ivory and whale meat. A recent report by Environmental Information Agency (EIA) and Humane Society International (HSI) discovered that Rakuten’s website has more than 28,000 advertisements for elephant ivory and 1,200 for whale products.

 

Rakuten’s trade of products originating from endangered species is illegal and puts many species at risk. This company is profiting from the destruction of protected elephants and whales. We must take action to persuade Rakuten to discontinue its trade of ivory and whale meat. Please sign this petition to tell Rakuten to stop its trade of products taken from endangered species."
