End the mutilation and disfigurement of declawing cats in the US!!

Declawing cats is cruel! It is literally amputating the first digit of every toe and can cause pain, aggression, behavioral and cleanliness issues and is known to cause arthritis since the cat cannot walk the same as it did before surgery and needs to compensate for the lack of stability.
Declawed cats cannot defend themselves the way nature planned, so they often resort to biting.
Declawing a cat actually leaves it unable to protect itself from larger animals if it would go outside. It can't fight back and it can't climb a tree to get away.
Declawing is illegal in many other countries. It should be a universal law.
