Horse Torture is practiced in many ways all over the world, and the most common one is Rollkur:
Rollkur is practiced for Dressage in order to get a 'better performance' with tricky horses. What really happens is that the horse is ruined, and more importantly suffers, to then die. What happens is:
- Death
- Extreme pain
- Muscles, tendons and bones are in constant stress
- The first rib digs into the horse's lungs, causing polmunary edema
- The tongue may become blue from the excessive pressure
- The horses have a limited leg movement, and the whole weight of the body is one leg for too long, causing grave problems with the legs
- The horse's chin is pinned to it's chest
- Because of the position the trachea is damaged
- The muscles in the breathing passage develop too much, causing breathing difficulty and eventual
