Fund Crisis Intervention Teams in Chesterfield Co

On April 25th, Chesterfield county police officers responded to a 911 call that ended in the tragic shooting death of a 31 year old man with a psychiatric disorder.

The Chesterfield County Police Department does not have the funding for Crisis Intervention Teams.

Crisis Intervention Teams are specially trained to de-escalate situations involving the mentally ill and to promote the safety of both officers and citizens.

By signing this petition, you are supporting our request for funding for Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) in Chesterfield County.

These signed petitions will be presented to the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors on May 27, 2009.
