Restaurant serving size control

According to healthyamericans.org,
"Adult obesity rates now exceed 25 percent in 31 states and exceed 20 percent in 49 states and Washington, D.C. Two-thirds of American adults are either obese or overweight."
AND
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 96 billion pounds of food, approximately 27% of the 356 billion pounds of edible food available, is wasted each year in the U.S.
It's time we do something about this. Let's get restaurants to stop serving meals that could easily feed 2 or 3 people, but instead go to just one person. By doing this we could hopefully start leading America in a healthier direction as well as lower the amount of food that goes wasted.
We the undersigned,
Would like to see the serving sizes in restaurants all across America become smaller. It's time that we start to lead our country towards a healthier and more aware lifestyle.
Many restaurants serve meals that could easily feed two or three people. Two things happen by the end of the meal: the customer tries to finish it all, sometimes forcing the food, and yet part of the meal still gets wasted.
With 96 billion pounds of food being wasted each year in the U.S. according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and two-thirds of American adults either obese or overweight, we think it's time for a change.
We are urging restaurants all across America to rethink and alter their current serving sizes, which will hopefully spark Americans to change their lifestyle to become more aware of food waste and conscious of their health.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. We hope that you will join us in this movement.
