Bring Megumi Home

Megumi Yokota has not been home since the late 1970's.  She was abducted from Japan by agents of North Korea and forcibly brought to North Korea, completely against her will, at the age of 13, to be used there for intelligence purposes.  Her mother and her father have never, in all the intervening years, given up hope that someday Megumi Yokota will be returned home to them.It is a known and established fact that this happened to Megumi.  A website with more details on this issue can be found here:  www.asanocpa.com/reachThe North Koreans first denied it, then admitted it, then fed the world a lie that Megumi had passed away...and then reports surfaced that she is very much alive and still being held in captivity in North Korea. And Megumi Yokota is not the only foreign national who was kidnapped, brought to North Korea, and unlawfully held there.  There are others.  What is going on in North Korea with respect to these abductees is an insult to people of goodwill and decency EVERYWHERE.  The fact that North Korea stooped so low as to kidnap a child is reprehensible; to still not let her go 28 years later and counting is even worse.  Please sign the petition to urge the United States, British, Canadian and Australian governments to take a stand in favor of the immediate release of the abductees by the North Korean government.  Let's work together as a global community and bring Megumi Yokota and the other abductees home.  There isn't a moment to lose.
We, the undersigned, are appalled at the North Korean government's abduction of citizens from Japan, including the child Megumi Yokota who has been held in North Korea since 1979, to be forcibly used for intelligence work against their own people.  It is a known fact that North Korea has done this.  It is a known fact that they have also been less than truthful with the world about it since it began in the 1970's.This action by the North Koreans is an affront to people of goodwill and decency everywhere.  We ask you to respectfully demand that Megumi Yokota and the rest of the abductees be sent home to Japan from North Korea without any further delay, and that no further assistance or sanctions be given from the governments of the Western World to the North Koreans until such day as the abductees are free. We thank you for your attention to this matter.  We look forward to the day when Megumi Yokota is reunited with her parents, and when the rest of the abductees come home, too.
