Get Whole Foods to Donate to Food Banks

Many of the food banks lack truly nutricious foods.  Most food banks are down in donations and could use dented cans, live food stuffs that (I've seen) at the Whole Food Stores throw out, be donated.  Please join me and ask Whole Foods to donate: foods, vitamins, baked goods that don't sell and are still viable to our local food banks. They are the largest distributor of Health Foods in America, let them know that people who are hungry deserve healthy foods also!

Dear John Mackey and Board Members of  Whole Foods Market,
Please consider having all of your American food markets donate unused bakery goods, vitamins near expiration, dented cans, and over stock surplus, as well as live food slotted for "Throwing out" to your local food banks in your area. This could be part of your current "green mission" that you purpose in your company's values and actions.  We the undersigned, would like to see ads from Whole Foods Market proudly proclaiming that they are donating to the local area food banks, especially now when our economy is having such a tough time, and more unemployment means more local area food banks are suffering.  Maybe even challenging other local stores to a drive for the most donated foods in the area.  In either case, it would be great publicity and it would get the bottom line handled; food in the mouths of the hungry in your area.

We would like to thank you, Whole Foods for having the highest quality food available on the market and for your generous support for your local communities.

Sincerely Yours,
Reverend Mary Miller and
