Support improving Richland School District!

Richland School board is taking action to improve Richland School District by having  administrators focus on their administrative jobs. Principal Bailey was asked to resign as head football coach. The reason was not particularly related to performance or any how related to wins, instead it is about bettering our school district and individual students.
Principals are in charge of the entire school district including all athletes and extra-curricular activities. Being a head coach as well as a principal diminishes the effectiveness of running the school as there is a genuine conflict of interest. Simply being a principal and head coach is too difficult and time consuming to focus on both.  As a result of this, both the football players and the student body as a whole suffer.  In order to better the Richland School District  the school board wants full time administrators focusing on bettering the school district without having to worry about showing favoritism for or against a specific sports team.
Please join us to correct this mistake that many other local school districts have already fixed. Richland is one of the few schools districts in the state to have a head coach as principal, and may be the only school district to have the principal and vice-principal as the head coach and assistant head coach.  Chime in on our Facebook page, sign our petition and come to the School Board meeting on January 24 to voice your opinion.
          Thanks.
