Progressive Democrats failed to get out in mass and vote in 2010. Sadly that bought us the "Tea Party" and their lunacy disguised as legitimate Democracy. We lost the House to the Republicans and we are barely holding on to the Senate. While President Obama has not been as progressive as he advertised in the 2008 election, he still shines so brightly when compared to any Republican that he blinds them. We must not have a repeat of 2010 we must get out and vote, re-take the House, re-elect the President and shore up the Senate. We must take this fight directly to the Republican candidates who are benefiting from the Supreme Court decision that turned our Democracy into a playground for the wealthiest of American's. This is not a petition to change anything, maybe it is a petition to save something. An America that still provides for those unable to care for themselves, the elderly, protecting the Unions, closing tax loopholes for the wealthiest Americans and their Corporations, taxing companies that move jobs overseas so that they can exploit those workers to make more profits, stop subsidies for oil companies, make Health Care a human right and take a strong approach towards protecting the Environment. By signing this petition you are promising not only to get out and vote when 2012 comes down on our heads but bring two other progressive Democrats with you to the polling place. It is time to clean house we must work for progressive Democrats who are running against Democrats who voted with Republicans on such issues as the Clean Air Act. And then continue to rally behind progressives in the General election.
