Recycle Center at Kendal and Shandin Hills Must Go!

The recycling center located at the Stater Brothers at Kendal and Shandin Hills is a danger to the residents. Several residents have voiced their concerns about the majority of individuals utilizing this center. Due to the increased transient population in the area, the center has been causing an increase in loitering, which has resulted in harassment of customers. They set up camps in the nearby woods next to the small park where needles and glass pipes are found. Although Stater Brothers provides security guard services, the problem stills exists and affects the surrounding businesses, patrons, and residents in the area. Cluster mail boxes have been stolen and/or destroyed several times costing each resident around $100 to replace. This area is not a priority for the police and it often takes them an exceedingly long time to respond, if they respond. Several neighbors have written to Stater Brothers over the past several months but nothing discernible has been done and these problems have only increased. This facility needs to be relocated to an industrial area immediately to regain the safety residents seek while simply shopping for their groceries and simply abiding in their homes unmolested.
