Let Us Protest the Dangerous Kinder Morgan's Trans Mountain Pipeline!

We are asking John Horgan to lift the injunction that prevents protesters from obstructing the Kinder Morgan's Trans Mountain Pipeline.

A British Columbia Supreme Court judge says protesters must be restrained from obstructing the expansion of the Trans Mountain pipeline. That's why he has granted the company an injunction aimed at preventing people from entering within five metres of two work sites.

Justice Kenneth Affleck said Thursday he felt it necessary to make a decision on the second day of a hearing instead of issuing a written order involving outraged demonstrators who have blocked vehicles and workers at the Burnaby Terminal and the Westridge Marine Terminal.

This is a violation of the protesters' right to demonstrate. Pipelines are notorious for leaking and spilling toxic chemicals into the environment. They pose a hazard to wildlife and nearby communities. The demonstrators have every right to block vehicles and workers.

Canada, like other countries, needs to focus on clean, renewable energy, which is not only effectively unlimited but far less damaging to the environment.
