Donald and Melania Trump are pushing ABC to fire Jimmy Kimmel because of a joke he told that they claimed to be offended and threatened by.
Tell ABC to reject these demands, and to stand with Kimmel against these attempts to censor him.
On his show last week -- well before the dinner with the shooter -- Kimmel joked about Melania having the "glow" of an "expectant widow," a reference to the many stories recenly about Trump's advanced age and increasingly frail health. And clearly not a "call to violence" as Donald said days later (and his staff echoed).
The Trumps have every right to criticize Kimmel, and if they were shaken up after the dinner, that's understandable.
But calling for him to be fired, and putting the weight of the federal government (including those who regulate networks) behind that is censorship, and real Americans still know this is not something we can just accept.
Tell ABC to reject these demands, and to stand with Kimmel against these attempts to censor him.
