Save New Shackle Island Stop The Westbrook Development

Current Plan to rezone the Garrett Property/Westbrook Development site as Medium Density will fundamentally shift the community of New Shackle Island. In addition the development will increase traffic in the area which has no sustainable model for road improvements and will change the flow of the existing watershed increasing the potential for flooding.

I understand the development of the property, however it is possible to keep the housing at low density with houses on .5 or 1 acre individually. This will allow for continued improvement of the New Shackle Island Area but in a sustainable growth model.

TN Homesite is proposing the development of 103 houses in the Westbrook site. This will require the rezoning of the property from R1A to MDPUD (Medium Density). This will allow for Max total density, 3.5 houses per acre, minimum lot size, 5000 sq. ft. (0.12 acre). This is not representative of any development in this area and will impact the community in a manner it is not prepared to absorb.
Examples of this impact include:

Increased Traffic on Long Hollow Pike and surounding communities
Negative impact on the current watershed increasing flooding potential
Fundamentally change the New Shackle Island community
