Demand to Lower Required Age for Mammograms for Women of Color.

The CDC has finally confirmed that women of color have a higher rate of death due to breast cancer and are diagnosed with breast cancer at an earlier age the white women. The recommended age for breast screening is 40 years old which often times is too late for women of color. The only proactive solution is early detection, for women of color the early detection needs to begin at age 35. We are asking the CDC to consider an age decrease for women of color, and that the insurance companies approve coverage for breast screening in women of color at age 35.  If early detection is truly the key, then let's unlock the opportunity to save lives together.
