The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, a spinoff of the 1940s movie, was a wonderful, well-written comedy that aired on NBC from 1968 to 1969 and on ABC from 1969 to 1970. It starred Edward Mulhare as the Ghost, Captain Gregg, and Hope Lange as Mrs. Muir, a lonely widow with two children, as well as a supporting cast of other wonderful actors.
This comedy is funny and enchanting and has a gentle wit and wisdom about it, as befits a series written in a more innocent era. It has many fans that remember watching it when it originally aired and later in syndication, and have been waiting a long time for the series to be released on DVD. We believe it stands up well and can be enjoyed in today's era.
