Germany: Ban private Fireworks

While the loud bangs of the fireworks serve us people for the entertainment,
its dangerous for Pets and Wildlife.

Wild animals, dogs and cats perceive the ear-deafening noise, the bright flashes and the unknown smells every now and then as a life-menacing situation. Fireworks move the animals not only into fear of death and panic, but can become fast the mortal danger. Who has a heart for animals, therefore, the end of the year should celebrate possibly without rockets and bangers.

Wild animals react especially sensitively to potential dangers, because in the nature they must protect her survival every single day by attention, escape or defence. Just in winter our home wild animals must have at disposal well only restricted energy and food reserves with her forces to households, there them.

For the birds, the sky becomes an inferno, especially in the cities. In shock, the animals flee in sometimes unusual heights, which is associated with a great loss of energy.

Billows of smoke and the bright luminous rockets can lead to disorientation with the birds, take from them the view and blind them, so that they cannot make way to obstacles any more on time.

It takes days or even weeks, until the animals have recovered from this shock.

Other unsightly side effects are the amounts in garbage which cover in the New Year's Day the streets as well as the high noise pollution.
On the 1st of January the fine dust load is the highest in the year. And a high risk of injury from fireworks for people.

Please celebrate New Years Eve without Fireworks- you can donate instead to a Charity or Animal Rights Organisation.

We demand: Ban all private Fireworks in Germany!
