Charmin Toilet Paper Is Destroying Canadian Forests

Forests around the world are being logged and destroyed at a dangerous rate, and toilet paper is one of the culprits.

All across Canada, companies are deforesting the boreal forest to create toilet paper. In fact, according to a recent report by the Natural Resources Defense Council, about six NHL-sized hockey rinks' worth of forest are destroyed every minute - just to meet growing TP demand.

But it doesn't have to be this way. Major toilet paper producers, like Procter & Gamble, could commit to using sustainable materials instead!

Sign now to demand the multinational corporation Procter & Gamble finally commit to using environmentally friendly materials to create its Charmin toilet paper!

The best part? There are multiple options for producing toilet paper more sustainably.

Procter & Gamble owns the company that manufactures the popular brand Charmin toilet paper. Charmin could produce its paper more sustainably and maintain soft, high-quality tissue. Seventh Generation, another toilet paper company, uses 100% recycled content to make its paper. Some other companies even use bamboo products.

Procter & Gamble made over $80 billion in revenue last year. There is no excuse for a company worth hundreds of billions of dollars to continue contributing to deforestation. It's time for a company with this much wealth to take responsibility for its environmental footprint.

Sign the petition now to tell Procter & Gamble: reduce Charmin's impact on the environment! Commit to sustainable toilet paper production now!
