Revert the new schedule

This new schedule does the complete opposite of what it sets out to do. Kids are increasingly losing their retentiveness. Increasing class times only go to further waste both educators and students time. Additionally, a rotating schedule only goes to confuse students, and a lack of a stable schedule will only lead to more disorientation and academic stress. Finally, shortening lunch period is totally unacceptable. For many kids, that time is a precious period to either complete work for the latter half of their day, or likewise to destress and enjoy their friends' company. By shortening our lunch period, the schedule only continues to make the school day more stressful, as kids would find themselves having to allocate more home time towards schoolwork and losing the opportunity to socialize. Finally, by having fewer classes during the year, teachers will feel more compelled to assign increased amounts of homework to make up for the workload. Overall, this new schedule does the opposite of what it sets out to do. It creates more stress during the school day from a constantly rotating schedule, it decreases students opportunities to de-stress during the day and also forces students into having to increasingly allocate free time toward an inevitable increase in homework. Sign this petition to show that you do not support this new schedule and would rather retain the current schedule, and if new schedule is tried, it is done based on the feedback of the students, not a comittee of adults.
