Don't let Texas Republicans steal the House through redistricting. Tell Democrats to "fight fire with fire"

Texas Republicans are frantically rushing to redraw Congressional districts to hand an additional 5 seats to Republicans, and help Trump keep the House in GOP control. And other Republican-controlled states are looking to do the same.

It goes against history (the maps are typically redrawn every 10 years, after the census), and likely violates the Voting Rights Act.  And it could mean the difference between a Democratic held House that reinstalls the guardrails against Trump, and a Republican held one that essentially makes him a dictator.

Which is why Democrats need to do whatever they can in states they control to help out Democratic candidates. Re-draw the districts ASAP, and do whatever else we can to defeat as many Republicans as possible.

In an ideal world, we'd work together to ensure sensible districts and fair rules to make elections about ideas and policies, not blind party loyalty.  But Republicans have gone off the deep end, and couldn't give a damn about fairness or even democracy itself.  And when you're in a boxing match and the other guy steps into the ring with a chainsaw, you better recognize that the rules have changed, and you need to update your plan.

"Fight fire with fire," as CA governor Gavin Newsom said (and is now doing with his state).
