As parents our children's safety is our number one priority. We appreciate all that Bais Yaakov does for us in this regard, however there is one area where it is lacking. With Bais Yaakov's newest bus system and especially with the changes made in December, the buses are completely unpredictable. We have days where the buses come on time and days where we have to wait 40-50 minutes for it. We have had days where the bus came early and our preschool age children were let off at the corner without any adult waiting for them and that is unacceptable.
There is a solution that we feel can help this situation and that is to allow parents to track the buses' progress. This will ensure buses are not missed, little children are not let off on their own, and there will be no hour long waits.
To implement this I would like to recommend a phone app called "Glympse" which will allow the bus driver (or monitor) to share their location with all parents while on their route.
We would appreciate this implementation so that we can be certain of our children's safety.
