Save Frank Love Pre-School

For those of you who have been positively affected by the Frank Love Elementary School preschool and Pre-K programs, know someone who has or believe that all children should have access to quality public preschool education.

Dear Northshore School District Board,

Over the last ten years, nearly 500 students and families have been positively affected by Mrs. Kirkham's work in the Frank Love Elementary Preschool Program. Not only have the children in the program been positively impacted, but also the countless older elementary students who have experienced the joys of mentoring in this wonderful program as well as the many high school students who have been able to get real world experience and a head start in careers as early childhood educators.

Having the resources of Frank Love Elementary at an early preschool age has been monumental to many families in discovering areas of concern, such as learning difficulties or speech impairment and getting them corrected early enough to allow for successful integration into Elementary Education without delay.

Quality early childhood education is a difficult thing to find, and with long waiting lists and registration periods well underway many families will be left with very few options. NSD has had a long history of being one of Washington State's most respected and highly rated school districts. With housing construction starting to get back on track and many new families beginning to make the important decision on where to send there children, NSD needs to be seen as a area that puts families with children of all ages first.

It is our hope that you reconsider your decision to end this program and allow it to continue making a positive impact in the lives of our children.
