Justice for Teryl Knox

My friend "Tee" died in a "Recovery Program". She was there to turn her life around, and instead got sucked in to a toxic, corrupt relationship with one of the members of "leadership" in the program. She relapsed and overdosed several times. Each time, it was swept under the rug. They didn't care because she received a check and could pay her "program fees" monthly. They also received a kick back from the Intensive Outpatient treatment she was receiving. She eventually went to rehab, came back to the program and subsequently died that same night of an overdose. She is not the only one. People are overdosing and dying at an alarming rate in this particular program and literally NOTHING is being done. If you can pay, you can stay. The environment of these houses is toxic to say the least. No trained staff. Upon entering this program, you are required to hand any and all medication over to a fellow addict, and they hand out the medication. They are NOT trained, NOT certified. Most have no medical background whatsoever. So people have had medication stolen. Forcing them to suffer while the "leadership" uses it to get high, or sells it. Two days after Tee died, another young lady overdosed and died as well. Prompting the owners to then have every client, in every house, sign a waiver. This waiver stated that if they die, for ANY reason, while in the program, they can not hold the program liable. So 2 deaths in 3 days, and their response is: "Sign this paper so we can cover our ass." I demand that Federal Investigations be launched in to all practices of this program. Federal Investigations in to the deaths of EVERY one who has passed in their care. Department of Public Welfare needs to be involved as they take peoples food stamps in payment of rent. Social Security, as they are the payees for many people whose needs are being neglected. Licensing and Inspection, as their houses would not pass inspection and are wired illegally for electricity. Sexual harassment and intimidation are common practices as many sexual harassment lawsuits were payed off. There needs to be same sex workers. Men have no place working with traumatized women, unless they are educated, licensed and trained. Workers Rights have been violated, as the owner runs his construction business by paying using addicts a small stipend weekly to work full time. Many many more violations I could list. I call for a full investigation in to Everything Must Change In The Heart of the Community. 4321 Frankford Ave Philadelphia Pa 19124.
