REDUCE SCHOOL FEES BY 50% until resumption of normal classes

The world has been thrown off balance due to the devastating emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Bangladesh has been negatively affected in all sectors.

That goes especially for all industries in the country, which have been facing whopping losses, many having edged towards bankruptcy, such losses adding even more pressure to the extreme costs that one has to incur to maintain an adequate lifestyle.

Hence, this is why we think it is somewhat unethical and frankly inconsiderate of Bangladesh Interantional Tutorial Limited to demand the full sum of money from students when their parents have been facing huge losses in their businesses, having to pay a large number of employees despite insurmountable deficits as well as pay cuts that make it impossible for many of us to continue paying the ordinary monthly fees.

Firstly, students have not been using any of the school's resources (half a month of online homework just doesn't cut it, not to mention the student body has missed out on all vital examinations) for 3 whole months, and the upcoming online classes won't have nearly as much as the effect as ordinary classes do.

The electricity bill, a large expense of the school, a collective portion of which is accounted for from the fees the school takes from all parents, should now be given a second thought since the students are not even going to school. In this situation, taking in the cost of electric expenses and applying it to our fees is unfair and unjust. This goes for any other services & resources that students aren't currently consuming from the school, the payment for which still goes into the tuition fees.

We understand that all schools are being affected by the situation and that it affects Bangladesh International Tutorial Limited's business model too. We are deeply sympathetic about the situation of our wonderful teachers, support staff and members of the faculty and appreciate and respect Bangladesh International Tutorial Limited's efforts to support their employees too. From this perspective, we can comprehend the difficulties our beloved academy must face, so clearly no one is in the wrong here.

But there is nothing that can be done about this period of a major global economic downturn. Many parents will be unable to pay fees properly in the future if they have to pay such large amounts now. Students will be unable to keep receiving proper education if their parents can't keep paying the institution. This is how grave the situation is for a lot of people. Hence, a compromise must be made. If not, it will end up disadvantageous for the school, parents and students.

Other schools have made it easier for parents to adjust to the current situation by cutting down the fees in half. Therefore, we think Bangladesh International Tutorial Limited should be more solicitous and agree to a 50% fee concession so that no financial strain is put on the parents too burdensome to recover from in the future. When the current situation finally ends, only then is it fully fair for the ordinary rate of fees to be charged again.

This few months will be a make-or-break situation for everyone universally as well as the hardworking parents who work day and night to put their children into an esteemed establishment such as the likes of Bangladesh International Tutorial Limited. It is only fair that this prestigious institute reciprocates our feelings and adapts to the times by a sensible pricing that doesn't put a strain in our everyday lives for the foreseeable future.
