Indigenous Women Were Forced Into Being Sterilized. Demand Justice!

Right now there is a class action lawsuit filed stating that, for at least the past 20 years, Indigenous women in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan have been coerced into undergoing forced sterilizations. So far, there are at least 60 plaintiffs, almost all who say they were lied about what the procedure would entail, including being told incorrectly that it would be reversible.

Some women, after giving birth, even say they were told that they would be unable to see their newborns until they consented to being sterilized.

There is a clear program of racist eugenics directed at Indigenous women being carried out in medical facilities in Saskatchewan, however it would be naive to assume this isn't happening elsewhere in Canada. This is why Sen. Yvonne Boyer is calling on the Canadian Senate to authorize a nationwide investigation to determine where and how such eugenics is being done and to make sure it comes to an end.
