Westbard Sector Citizens say NO to increased density

Increased density (projected up to 7,000 new individual residents) hurts our community. All issues with the Westbard Sector Development Plan arise directly from this reality -- issues which include, but are NOT limited to the following: overcrowded public schools, transportation issues on River Road and surrounding areas, lack of Metro access, proposed new library location (which we do not accept as fait accompli), proposed new school location (whether at the proposed site or elsewhere), environmental concerns, quality of life, et cetera. The residents who LIVE here and pay TAXES here do NOT want the proposed plan activated.

Dear Governor Hogan and Montgomery County County Council members: We the citizens of the Westbard Sector of Montgomery County, MD, hereby object to the proposed increased in density slated for our suburban neighborhood. Increased density harms every single person in the Westbard Sector in many different ways, including but not limited to: overcrowded public schools, transportation issues (too many to list), lack of Metro access, environmental concerns, proposed new school and proposed new library, et cetera. The attached petition, "Westbard Citizens say NO to increased density", reflects the strenuous public opposition to and outcry against the proposed plan for our neighborhood.
