Urgent Call to Canadians - 5,000 More Signatures Needed by Sept. 25th for Wildlife Artist Robert Bateman

Legendary master wildlife artist Robert Bateman, age 96 and still wielding a paint brush, has never had an exhibition at the National Gallery of Canada. It's fine art elites dismiss his style as "too realistic to be considered serious art" and is "unsuitable" for showing in Canada's public gallery, despite huge success elsewhere. 1987 record-breaking Smithsonian exhibition 275,000 visitors. 2007 record-breaker McMichael Canadian Art Collection exhibition 48,000 visitors. This petition asks the National Gallery to acknowledge Bateman's contribution to Canadian culture and showcase his art while he remains in good health to enjoy the moment. Help it happen.
