Thank Congressman Barney Frank for His Wonderful Years of Service!

Democratic Congressman Barney Frank was first elected into the House of Representatives in 1980. During his 32 year tenure as a representative for Massachusetts, he has been a pioneer fro revolutionary thought and change in the United States. He also became Congress's first openly gay member.

He has had a strong influence on the financial reform programs written during the Obama administration and was a key advocate against the Defense of Marriage Act as well as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", the military policy that hinders soliders' ability to disclose their sexual orientation.

Sadly, Barney Frank's tenure as Congressman has come to a close. Thank him for all his hard work and for being a pioneer for progressive issues in Congress!
