Australian Restaurant Hangs Cow From Ceiling

  • by: Care2

Attempting to make an ethical point about food sourcing, the Australian pizzeria Etica has hung a taxidermied cow above its dining area. The owners claim that the installation draws attention to the realities of the dairy industry and forces customers to consciously think about whether or not to eat dairy.

There are many ways for Etica to start a discussion about the dairy industry without exploiting the carcass of 8-year-old Schvitsy. Instead, the restaurant owners have resorted to a cheap, disgusting stunt that is both offensive to restaurant-goers and disrespectful to Schvitsy.

Please sign this petition demanding that Etica remove Schvitsy’s body immediately.
