STOP Killing Shelter Animals

We the undersigned declare ...

The mission of Humane Societies and many Animal Shelters nationwide has been lost to excuses, laziness and illogical thinking.

The mission was always and still is suppose to be to save animals, to shelter, care for & heal animals, to teach the public to treat animals humanely and most importantly to ultimately find the animal a forever home...NOT to kill them because they have too many.
 
Killing animals was never and should not now be part of the mission plan. 

Animal Shelters and so called Humane Societies nationwide consciously choose to euthanize / kill / murder thousands of perfectly healthy animals on a daily basis just because they have too many of them, or because the breed has a bad reputation and/or because their behavior is not perfect and those on the organization's staff are not educated enough in animal behavior & training to rehabiliate the animal.  Sadly, the organizations who euthanize the most animals receive the most funding.

THIS NEEDS TO STOP !!!  and this can easily be changed if we hit them where it hurts and people cease making donations to these places until they all agree to make this change. Let's make it happen, for all the animals.
