Urge Your U.S. Senators to Champion Insulin Affordability

Help Make Affordable Insulin a Reality: Urge Your Senators to Support the INSULIN Act

The American Diabetes Association® has endorsed the bipartisan Improving Needed Safeguards for Users of Lifesaving Insulin Now (INSULIN) Act, which takes critical steps to improve insulin affordability and access by limiting out-of-pocket insulin costs to $35 per month for people with private or employer-sponsored insurance.

You can help make affordable insulin a reality! Send your U.S. Senator a letter asking them to Support and Co-Sponsor the INSULIN Act.

Please consider personalizing your letter. Whether it's you, a family member or a loved one who is impacted by the cost of insulin, we know 1 in 6 Americans who depends on insulin has difficulty affording it. Share why this lifesaving legislation matters.

As an American Diabetes Association® Diabetes Advocate, I'm writing to ask for your support to make insulin more affordable. Millions of Americans with diabetes rely on insulin to stay alive, yet 1 in 6 people who need it struggle to afford it. Too many individuals and families are forced to make impossible choices between paying for insulin and covering basic life essentials like food or rent, something no one should have to face.

The bipartisan INSULIN Act is a critical step toward easing this burden by helping to make insulin more affordable and accessible for those who need it most. By limiting cost sharing to $35 a month for insulin for individuals' commercial health insurance, like Congress did for Medicare, it would make insulin affordable for individuals who pay for their health coverage. The bill would bring real economic relief to individuals and families across the country.
