Support SB26-102! Urge State Lawmakers to Protect Coloradans from Higher Energy Bills

Coloradans energy bills are going up and data centers will make the problem worse without guardrails and fair protections. Email your legislators and ask them to support Senate Bill 26-102, which will protect Coloradans from higher energy bills and make sure Colorado's limited water resources aren't at risk from data center development.

Take action to stop your utility bills from increasing by making sure Colorado regulates Big Tech's data centers!

I'm writing to ask you to vote YES on Senate Bill 26-102, which will protect Coloradans from higher energy bills and make sure Colorado's limited water resources aren't at risk from data center development.

Coloradans energy bills are going up and data centers will make the problem worse without guardrails and fair protections. Across the country, energy bills are rising at twice the rate of inflation. In fact, Xcel Energy recently proposed a 10% increase on Colorado electricity bills. Families and small businesses should not pay more for energy so that utilities and wealthy tech billionaires can profit.

With Colorado in a severe drought, we need to reduce the risk that new large data centers present to Colorado's limited water resources and pass common sense protections for communities. Without accountability, new data centers will lead to the construction of new power plants that increase electricity costs paid by hardworking Coloradans and use excessive amounts of our state's water.

Coloradans can't afford the burden of additional rate increases and the water risks that come from data centers. We deserve fair rules, accountability, and transparency to protect us from rising costs.

Please vote YES on SB26-102 to put common sense regulations on new data center development!
