Rep. Mike Johnson, the new Speaker of the House, has been exposed as an unrepentant insurrectionist, a virulent anti-LGBTQ bigot, and a religious extremist.
He personally led the House GOP's efforts to overturn the 2020 election for Donald Trump. He previously wrote that "homosexual relationships are inherently unnatural," worked for a right-wing hate group that seeks to recriminalize homosexuality, and declared that his entire worldview was "Go pick up a Bible."
Tell the GOP to pick a new Speaker!
If the supposed "moderates" in the GOP weren't okay with the extremism of Jim Jordan, how can they accept a Speaker whose personal views are more in line with the Taliban than they are with the American public?
The new "move to vacate" rule that allows just ONE Republican to bring up a vote to expel the Speaker is still on the books. All it takes is one moderate Republican to stand up, admit they made a mistake, and start the process of choosing a new Speaker who DIDN'T try to steal the election for Donald Trump.
