Decriminalise Abortion in Ireland - Pledge to vote to Repeal the Eighth Amendment!

The right to control our own bodies is a basic human right. But despite strong criticism from international human rights organisations including the UN, abortion is illegal in most circumstances in Ireland.

The Eighth Amendment, which criminalises abortion, has been in place since 1983. On 25th May 2018, a historic referendum will give Ireland the opportunity to repeal this discriminatory and outdated law.

Over 100 organisations, representing over 1.5 million people, have come together to form the Coalition to Repeal the Eight Constitution to support the Repeal. The message is clear: it's time to give pregnant people uncompromised access to health care in Ireland.

Please sign this petition and pledge to vote to repeal the Eight Amendment on 25th May, or to express your support for those voting to repeal. Together we can stand up for the right to choice.

If you're not Irish, so can't vote in this referendum, please sign this Care2 petition anyway to show your support.
